Investment House and Private Equity Firm

We focus on utility-scale wind and solar projects to increase the production of renewable energy, and invest in technologies designed to support the energy transition. Shifting our energy consumption from fossil fuels to renewables is a huge and complicated challenge, and we are investing in technological solutions to help us bridge this gap.

ANU Global Energy Holdings - CLIMATE PRIVATE INVESTMENT FUNDS

ANU Global Energy Holdings and its CLIMATE Private Investment Funds invests in conventional renewable, clean and transition energy sources, such as solar, wind, hydropower, biomass, geothermal, gas-fired and its industries. ANU invests in both utility-scale, grid-connected power plants and distributed generation. The latter includes smaller-scale projects and off-grid solutions that supply power directly to the end-user. Additionally, ANU invests in enabling technologies that have a significant climate impact such as energy storage and transmission. We will continue to increase ANU’s portfolio in renewable, clean and transition power generation in our target markets, building on existing investment platforms and partnerships as well as working with new partners.

We will only make investments in gas-fired power plants in clearly defined and necessary projects that support the energy transition in line with the Paris Agreement. We have adopted a tool for ensuring that any new investments in gas power need to be Paris-aligned and consistent with a country’s pathway to net zero by 2050. From 2030 new investments in gas power will generally be excluded.

ANU Climate Private Investment Funds is a important tool in accelerating the global energy transition by investing in renewable, clean and transition energy, storage and transmission in emerging markets with large emissions from coal and other fossil power production.

The Climate Private Investment Funds, managed by ANU Global Green Energy Holdings, became formally operative in 2024, and during the first year, ANU's made commitments for more than 4 Billion USD in projects that will avoid annual emissions of 12,2 million tons of CO2.

The Private Climate Investment Funds will be allocated 15 Billion USD over Five Years, with 1 Billion coming from ANU’s capital and 2 Billion from government agencies, private and/or investment banks and private investors each year.

The instructions to ANU state that “The purpose of the Climate Private Investment Fund is to contribute to reducing or avoiding greenhouse gas emissions by investing in renewable, clean and transition energy in developing countries with large emissions from coal and other fossil fuel production”.

As with ANU’s usual operations, the goal is to help activate investments that would otherwise not be made. Additional information is available.
